The prime focus of Sports Excellence Program is the enhancement and development of athletes training. The objective of the program is to bring world class training facilities to deserving athletes who under normal circumstances would never get a chance to avail them.
Powerlifting comes naturally to Bhakti Ajit Ambre who is professional athlete in the sport since the last 15 years. During this journey she participated in various tournaments and championships at the State, National & International levels. She has represented India at Asian Powerlifting Championship in 2000 and was honoured by Shivchhatrapati State Award in 2001. In addition to her achievements, she bagged the bronze medal in Asian Powerlifting Championship at Hongkong in 2015 and a silver in Senior National Powerlifting Championship at Kashipura in 2015. Bhakti was selected to represent India once again at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships at Vancouver, BC, Canada in 2015.
Bhakti Ambre from Maharashtra was also declared “Strong Woman of West Zone” in the West Zone Power lifting championship & 36th Rajasthan State Senior Power Lifting Championship conducted in July 2016. Ms. Bhakti with exceptional scores was also declared winner in 72 kg category among women powerlifters. The winners were awarded with medals and championship trophies by Arjuna Awardee Mr. Subrata Roy and General Secretary of Indian Powerlifting Association Mr. Sanjeevan Bhaskaran.
A tailor made diet program specially suited for the need of Bhakti has been charted out edging her closer to be a champion.
A part of IBF Sports Excellence Program, Ravi Dixit is a professional squash player and ranks #3 in India.
He reached the final in his very first tournament in November of 2001, the year he exchanged his cricket bat for a squash racket and this success spurred him on top to achieve much more. Along with several other National & International level achievements; he has won the bronze in Asians Senior in Hong Kong in 2014, bronze in Malaysia Circuit No.2 in 2014 and silver in Pune Open in 2014.
With his latest achievement of winning the Gold Trophy in Men's open category at Raipur in the All India Chhattishgarh Open Squash Championship 2017, his contribution towards the Indian sports is not only robust, but resplendent.
Ravi had also won a Gold in singles in the Malaysian Sqash Tour 2016 and Silver in mixed doubles,
Ravi is currently training under the IBF banner in Delhi for his upcoming tournaments and matches.

Rohan Sonavane is not your average badminton player. He is special. Special not because he has cerebral palsy, special, because despite being differentially abled, he has achieved such heights which we being normal would dream to aspire.
Winning the two gold medals and a silver at the 2011 Special Olympics has never stopped the winning streak of Rohan who grasped the bronze in men’s double in the National Championship for the Disabled last year in December.
“I can’t thank enough IBF for supporting me so much to fulfill my dreams. It was earlier very difficult for me to enroll myself in various sports related trainings. I can now do that with the support of IBF. I feel more confident and happy about myself and my performance,” said the 28 year old.
